Trump Calls for Microsoft to Fire Lisa Monaco

Donald Trump has publicly called for Microsoft to dismiss Lisa Monaco, their President of Global Affairs, citing concerns over her past affiliations and security clearance.
Trump's criticism, aired on Truth Social, stems from Monaco's tenure as a senior national security advisor under Barack Obama and her role as Deputy Attorney General during Joe Biden's administration, alleging she was influenced by "Lawfare and Weaponization" under both administrations. He argues that her current position at Microsoft grants her access to sensitive information, which he believes is problematic.
Trump had previously revoked Monaco's security clearance earlier in the year, a move that also impacted figures such as Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and members of the Biden family.
Microsoft has yet to comment on the matter. Monaco's role at Microsoft, which she assumed in May, focuses on cybersecurity policy and government relations globally.
Loomer's Involvement and Government Contracts
Far-right activist Laura Loomer, a staunch Trump supporter, has been a vocal critic of Microsoft's decision to hire Monaco. She has used social media to express her disapproval, even targeting Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Following Trump's statement, Loomer reiterated her call for the termination of all government contracts with Microsoft.
Precedent of Targeting Tech Executives
This isn't an isolated incident. Trump has previously targeted tech executives, demanding the resignation of Intel President Lip-Bu Tan over alleged conflicts of interest. However, his stance shifted after Intel granted the government a 10% stake in the company in exchange for committed funding, with Trump then praising Tan's leadership.
